Morning Times Unveils New Website and Honours Award Receipients at Chennai Ceremony

Chennai, October 2:
The official launch of the Morning Times website and an awards presentation ceremony were held on Friday evening, October 2, 2026, at Kavikko Mandram in Mylapore, Chennai.

The programme was presided over by N.Abdul Samad, Chief News Editor of Morning Times. The event held in the presence of the Morning Times management was coordinated by Deputy Editor Ameerudheen Khaja Moideen and Chennai District Reporter K.H.Riyaz Ali Ahmed and Sub Editor M.Abdul Rahman served as the master of ceremonies.

The distinguished guests included Rijoy Thomas, CEO of Securecam India,  Maulana M.Muhammad Mansoor Qasibi, President of Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind, Tamil Nadu, Dr.M.Muhammad Sarvath Khan, MBBS, Founder of Aram Foundation and MSK Poly Clinic, Perumbakkam,  Janab H.Ahmed Rumaisudheen Faizi, Managing Partner of Buharis Landmark and Dr.Sameer, Founder of SWOTT.

Official Launch of Morning Times Website
The highlight of the ceremony was the official launch of the Morning Times website in the presence of the distinguished guests. N.Abdul Samad, Chief News Editor, formally launched the website, while Sub Editor Khaja Mohideen explained its features, functions and the objectives of the organisation’s media initiatives.

The distinguished guests were subsequently honoured with shawls and presented with mementoes & awards.

All the chief guests addressed the gathering and shared their views on various issues, including the social responsibility of the media, education and the advancement of youth.

The audience listened with keen interest to the speeches and appreciated the arrangements made for the ceremony.

Meritorious Students Honoured
Another major highlight of the event was the felicitation of Class 10th and Class 12th students who had secured the highest marks and stood first in their respective schools in the public examinations.

The students were presented with awards in recognition of their academic achievements. The initiative aimed at encouraging educational excellence and motivating students to pursue higher academic goals, drew the attention of parents and participants.

Contributors and Supporters Recognised
Prominent personalities and supporters who had contributed to the growth and activities of Morning Times were also honoured and presented with awards. The awards were presented in recognition of the contributions made by various individuals and groups who have continued to support the organisation and its media activities.

Morning Times Media Team Felicitated
Following this, members of the Morning Times editorial and reporting team—including the Chief Reporter, Honorary Editor, Sub Editors, District Reporters, Regional Reporter, Constituency Reporters and Area Reporters—were honoured and presented with awards.
The felicitation recognised their contribution to journalism, news gathering and the dissemination of news to the public.

Event Organisers Honoured
N.Abdul Samad, Chief News Editor of Morning Times, appreciated the event organisers for their efforts in coordinating the ceremony successfully. The organisers were honoured with shawls in recognition of their contribution.

At the conclusion of the programme A.Abdul Samad, Sub Editor, delivered the vote of thanks. He expressed his gratitude to the distinguished guests, students, parents, journalists, management representatives, family members, friends and supporters for attending the event and contributing to its success.

The programme was attended by Pachaiyappan, Editor of Saandror Kural, K.M.Javid Parvez, Editor of SWOTT, Morning Times management and staff their family members and friends and representatives from various fields. More than 100 people attended the ceremony.

Refreshments were served to all participants
The ceremony concluded on a successful note with the official launch of the Morning Times website, recognition of meritorious students, felicitation of contributors and supporters, and presentation of awards to members of the Morning Times media team.
