
Chennai, April 25:
Robinsons Cargo and Logistics (Chennai Team), in collaboration with the Mangrove Foundation of India (MFI), successfully carried out a mangrove plantation drive at Thangalperumbulam near Pulicat, planting 1,000 mangrove saplings.
The event witnessed active participation from team members of Robinsons Cargo and Logistics, along with special guests, who highlighted the organization’s strong commitment to environmental protection and social responsibility.
Mangrove Foundation of India Founder S.Meerasa and Secretary M.Abdulrahman were also present on the occasion.
Local community members enthusiastically took part in the plantation drive and extended their full support to the initiative.
The project was undertaken with key objectives including conservation of coastal ecosystems, enhancement of carbon sequestration, mitigation of climate change, and improvement of local livelihoods.
Mangroves play a crucial role in coastal protection, flood control, and biodiversity conservation, making such initiatives highly significant for ensuring environmental sustainability.
